Hip Hop Roots was formed in June of 2008 by local Hip Hop artist HighDro. Ran at The Bunkhouse for a year and a half every Wednesday and then moved to Boomers every Tuesday for about a year & a half. We have moved up quickly and continue to grow. We have now moved to the most historic corner in Las Vegas into a beautiful 700+ capacity venue! Hip Hop Roots is now FREE every Tuesday at LVCS on the corner of Las Vegas BLVD. & Fremont st. (425 Fremont st.). Hip Hop Roots features Las Vegas' best hip hop, r&b, reggae, soul, & spoken word artists as well as tons of big and small name touring acts. It is the soul of the hip hop community in Las Vegas holding a powerful vibe not found at other hip hop shows in Las Vegas.

The people that attend the shows are good, respectful, love showing Music fans. Thanks to all of them we are the #1 spot for hip hop and are also the longest running weekly hip hop showcase in Vegas!! Our scene is building quickly and we definitely have Hip Hop Roots and its great fans and performers to thank for it. 3 years now Vegas!

Every week, you too can be part of the show during our open mic from 10-11pm. Be sure to get there early to sign up! Not everyone will perform if the list is to long. Each artist can perform 1 song a night. Hip Hop Roots is a Mecca of Las Vegas Hip Hop. DJ AMMO has been holding down the ones and twos almost 3 years there now but we also feature numerous other local & touring DJ's.
